The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Tennessee Titans 24–18 on Sunday after building a 17-point halftime lead, then surviving a second-half rally after quarterback Lamar Jackson left with an ankle injury.
Jackson completed 15 of 20 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns before he was sacked on Baltimore’s final offensive play of the first half. Reuters reported that his left ankle was wrapped on the sideline and that he did not return after halftime.
Baltimore builds the cushion it needs
The Ravens took a 24–7 lead into halftime, combining Jackson’s efficient passing with a defense that forced Tennessee mistakes. The Titans’ official recap said a pair of first-half turnovers and an empty first-and-goal possession helped change the shape of the game.
Tyler Huntley replaced Jackson and completed 8 of 9 passes for 63 yards. Baltimore did not score in the second half, but its defense protected the advantage as Tennessee tried to erase the deficit.
Titans’ comeback falls short
Cam Ward’s 3-yard touchdown pass to Wan’Dale Robinson and a two-point conversion to Gunnar Helm cut the margin to six with 1:12 remaining. Tennessee attempted an onside kick, but Malaki Starks recovered it for Baltimore, allowing the Ravens to run out the clock.
The Ravens improved to 3–1 and ended a four-game home losing streak. The Titans fell to 0–4 after again leaving themselves with too much ground to recover.
Jackson’s status becomes the next question
The result keeps Baltimore near the top of the early AFC standings, but Jackson’s ankle will be the central issue entering the next round of practices. The available postgame reports described the play and his absence after halftime but did not establish a timetable, so any recovery forecast would be premature.
