September 30, 2026. Hewlett Packard Enterprise says cloud provider Vultr placed a $1.2 billion order for AMD Helios artificial-intelligence systems that HPE will supply to U.S. data centers. HPE announced the order as it opened its Networking Investor Day in Sunnyvale, California. The systems combine AMD accelerators with HPE networking switches and software.

What the companies announced

The HPE announcement describes the agreement as its first order for AMD Helios racks. Reuters reported that HPE will provide the systems for Vultr’s U.S. facilities. The companies did not disclose a delivery timetable or revenue-recognition schedule in the reporting available Wednesday morning, so the full contract value should not be treated as revenue already booked in one quarter.

The order is separate from the June announcement that Vultr selected HPE and Nvidia for other large-scale AI data-center deployments. It indicates Vultr is adding an AMD-based system option while continuing to build out its cloud infrastructure.

HPE raises networking targets

HPE also raised its fiscal 2027 networking revenue-growth forecast to a high-teens to low-20s percentage range, from an earlier 14% to 17%. For fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2029, the company now projects networking revenue to grow at a compound annual rate in the high teens. It also increased its planned annual run-rate cost savings from the Juniper Networks acquisition to $800 million by the end of fiscal 2028, compared with a prior target of at least $600 million.

Those growth and savings figures are management forecasts, not completed results. They depend on customer demand, delivery execution and integration work. The order itself is a reported business commitment; the broader claim that AI demand will drive the expected growth remains a company outlook.
