Published Oct. 6, 2026. Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale began Tuesday and runs through Wednesday, Oct. 7, with member-only offers across technology, home, beauty, toys, clothing and other categories.
According to Amazon’s event announcement, the 48-hour sale started at 12:01 a.m. PDT on Oct. 6. New limited-time deal drops are scheduled for midnight, 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. PDT during the event.
Use price history before buying
A percentage-off label does not by itself establish that a product is at its best price. Amazon says eligible product pages now provide up to 365 days of price history, and Alexa for Shopping can show pricing information, track drops and send alerts.
Shoppers should compare the current price with the item’s recent history, confirm the exact model number and check competing retailers. A newer or slightly different model can make a large-looking discount misleading even when the advertised price is accurate.
What Amazon says is included
Amazon lists sale categories including computers, headphones, smart-home devices, kitchen appliances, furniture, beauty products, toys and seasonal items. Some deals are limited to Prime members, available only while supplies last or scheduled for a particular drop window.
The company says advertised offers include up to 40% off select PCs and laptops, up to 50% off select headphones and earbuds, and up to 40% off select home and kitchen brands. Those are category-level promotional claims, not guarantees that every listed item is a good value.
A practical checkout checklist
- Verify the seller, return policy and delivery date.
- Check price history and compare the identical model elsewhere.
- Look for required coupons, memberships or automatic subscriptions.
- Ignore countdown pressure until the total price and terms are clear.
- Use a payment method with purchase protections.
Prices can change during the event, and AskNovus is not treating promotional “list prices” as independent proof of savings.
