September 29, 2026. Owners of INMO AIR3 smart glasses should check the model label following a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall issued September 24. The recall covers about 1,643 units in the United States and roughly 120 additional units sold in Canada.
CPSC says the left temple can overheat during extended use, creating a burn hazard. The company received 10 reports of overheating, including reports of a burning sensation on the face and left ear. The agency lists a free repair as the remedy.
How to identify the recalled glasses
The affected model is AIR3. CPSC describes the glasses as black, with “AIR3” and “INMO” on a label on the right temple. The model was marketed for AI translation, productivity assistance and media streaming. The notice says units were sold through Amazon, INMO’s website and Kickstarter from December 2025 through August 2026.
The recall is specific to the AIR3 model described in the notice. A consumer with a different product should compare its model and label with the CPSC photographs and details before assuming it is affected.
What owners should do
CPSC directs consumers to stop using recalled AIR3 glasses immediately and contact INMO for a free repair. The company will assist users with updating the system to version V3.16 online, according to the notice. Owners should follow the company’s recall process instead of relying on an ordinary automatic update, because the agency specifies a coordinated repair.
The CPSC notice provides INMO’s contact number, email and recall page. Keep a record of the model and any purchase confirmation when contacting the company. If an item has already overheated, stop using it and describe the incident to the company; CPSC also accepts consumer safety reports.
AskNovus has a separate device handoff checklist for protecting personal data when replacing connected technology. The checklist is general advice and does not replace this product’s recall instructions.
