Scoop of powdered workout supplement on a dark surface

Leader Formulas LLC is voluntarily recalling one lot of RAPTURE pre-workout powder nationwide after U.S. Food and Drug Administration testing found 1,3-dimethylamylamine, or DMAA, in the product.

The company announced the recall October 6, and the FDA published it October 7. The affected products are packaged in 450-gram round plastic containers with red-and-black lettering and a rhinoceros seal. All recalled containers carry lot number 260327-4.

Three flavors are affected

  • Rainbow Twist — UPC 710154236506
  • Electric Lemonade — UPC 710143236513
  • Berry Mojito — UPC 710154236544

Leader Formulas said the affected lot was distributed nationwide from January 29, 2025, through May 25, 2026, through retail locations and the company’s website. Consumers should check both the lot number and flavor rather than assuming every RAPTURE product is included.

What consumers should do

People who have the recalled product should stop using it and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. The recall notice says consumers can contact Leader Formulas at 832-855-7562 or Patrick@leaderformulas.com from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time on weekdays.

No adverse events had been reported to the company as of the recall announcement. Anyone who experiences chest tightness, shortness of breath or other concerning symptoms after using a supplement should seek medical care. Adverse reactions or quality problems can also be reported through the FDA’s MedWatch program.

Why DMAA is a concern

The FDA says DMAA can narrow blood vessels and raise blood pressure. The effect may increase the risk of cardiovascular problems, including shortness of breath, chest tightening, irregular heartbeat and heart attack. DMAA has been marketed in some sports and weight-loss supplements, but the agency does not consider dietary supplements containing it lawful.

The FDA had warned consumers about RAPTURE in May after laboratory analysis found DMAA that was not declared on the label. The new recall is a material next step because it identifies a specific lot, distribution dates, flavors and refund instructions.

Consumers can read the FDA-posted recall announcement dated October 7, 2026 and the agency’s earlier RAPTURE safety notice. The recall announcement is published as a public service and does not mean the FDA endorses the product.
