September 30, 2026 — The Indiana Fever kept their season alive with a 99–89 win over the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday night, tying their best-of-three WNBA first-round series at one game apiece. Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday, October 1, at 9 p.m. Eastern in Las Vegas.
Clark directs the response
Caitlin Clark scored 27 points and handed out 15 assists, according to the Fever’s game recap. She had 14 points and 11 assists before halftime, becoming the first WNBA player to record a points-and-assists double-double in one half of a playoff game. Kelsey Mitchell added 26 points, and Aliyah Boston helped Indiana reverse an early deficit.
Las Vegas led 26–18 after the first quarter. Indiana won the second period 30–17 to take a 48–43 halftime lead, then pushed its advantage to 72–60 through three quarters. The Aces closed within five late, but the Fever finished the game ahead by 10. Indiana’s 58 points in the paint set a franchise playoff record, the team said.
A winner-take-all third game
The result changes the series from a potential Las Vegas sweep to a single deciding game on the Aces’ home court. The winner advances to the semifinals. Tuesday’s performance gave Indiana a path back into the series, but Thursday’s score remains open.
Clark’s 15 assists were a Fever postseason single-game record, according to the club. The Fever also said Clark, Mitchell and Boston each scored at least 20 points, the first such trio in franchise playoff history.
